Today is „World Children’s Day“ which was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. Together with Wildlife Act and Voice, Art & Social BEST Rechtsanwälte has initiated the Mobile Library Bus Project for 11 schools in South Africa’s Zululand.
Part of the project is the song “We are One” performed by the Drakensberg Boys Choir and George Philippart , an “Artist in Residence”(AiR) project which invites artists to engage with charities and non-profit organizations such as Wildlife ACT in South Africa. A core element of the AiR is to visit rural schools and encourage the appreciation of all forms of art. ‘The Mobile Library Bus project’ is a vital resource to benefit these communities. 100{fc4582305255df0d48b4471fbb77dd41d5e0925e894485bff265bbe23bc87112} of the proceeds from the song and all donations collected will be used to buy, run and maintain the Mobile Library Bus.
