We had the privilege to attend the 28th annual fundraiser Symphony at Salk to support innovation in six critical areas: cancer, healthy aging, plant biology, immunobiology, neuroscience, and computational biology. This years fundraising event emphasized especially on unlocking healthy aging.
The Salk institute was founded by Jonas Salk who developed the first safe and effective polio vaccine. His wife, the artist Francoise Gilot has supported the Salk institute with her art works which are displayed at the Salk institute.
Jonas Salk believed that blending science and art would encourage creativity and would enrich our understanding of the world.
The wonderful San Diego Symphony along with guest artist David Foster and acclaimed singer Katherine McPhee performed in a spectacular and memorable way.
It truly was an inspiring night dedicated to science and discoveries that will impact all our lives and, last but not least creates IP with great value that helps to raise further funds for ongoing research.
We couldn’t be happier to support this important fundraising event.
