May we present? Simon Knoll.

Simon Knoll studied law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at the University of Szeged, Hungary. During his time in Hungary in 2015, he first came into contact with the field of intellectual property (IP) in the context of a seminar work in digital copyright law.After completing his first state examination, he participated in a joint master’s programme of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at the University of Turin, Italy, in the field of IP (master’s thesis: “The liability of intermediaries under the draft directive on copyright in the digital single market”; implemented as Directive (EU) 2019/790). From 2019 onwards, he followed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Hanau. During this time, he gained initial practical experience in the areas of IP, competition, information technology and data protection law in the course of part-time activities. After a one-year employment with a boutique law firm specialised in IP and competition law in Frankfurt am Main, he worked for a British law firm in Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf for one year.Simon Knoll will start his career at BEST Rechtsanwälte in Frankfurt am Main and will join our team in June 2021. Due to the specialisation during his training at Best Rechtsanwälte and the additional attendance of a corresponding specialist lawyer course at the beginning of his professional life, he will initially advise in the areas of trade mark, design and competition law.
